Recommendation :: DJ Mitsu the Beats - New Awakening

this one is highly recommended! London's DJ Nik Weston's been loving it
    too.
(Rodney if you're reading this, you gotta hear this album!)

DJ Mitsu the Beats is one third of hip hop group Gagle. 'New Awakening'
is i believe his first solo outing. this album is absolutely
groove-licious, jazzed-up hip hop and soul. features a long list of top
western and eastern mcs (in English and Japanese)/singers/musicians too:
Dwele, Mark de Clive Lowe, Looptroop, Gagle, Little Brother, Isoceles,
Mass Influence, Lady Alma, Mahya, Rich Medina. easily one of the top
    hip hop records this year.

i've listened to it several times now and there's plenty in here: jazzy
grooves, soul, uptempo hip hop, breaks, broken beats, hints of soul
jazz, nu jazz, electro, downtempo,...and it all works together
beautifully. one of the rather magical things i've heard this year.

ah, and i just found sound samples of the full album here...dunno if
    they do it justice though:

listening to the track with Mark de Clive Lowe now (insane!),
