Hello Everybody!! Hope all is well...I wanted to give a quick shout
out to let you know I have a limited number of promo CD's available
which we had made up over the Holidays to help promote a track
called "Kerry's Caravan" which we've recently completed...the promo
CD contains three versions of the track, the Main Version, Smith and
Mudd's Claremont 56 mix, and the Benny West Orchestral
    Reprise..."Kerry's Caravan" is a trans-Atlantic collaboration between
the UK's Paul N. Murphy (aka Mudd) and Legendary Jazz Drummer
and Bandleader Foreststorn "Chico" Hamilton..."Kerry's Caravan" in
it's main version is a moody yet stunning slice of down tempo modern
music, a molten melting pot ready made for filling the dance floor.
More information on how this track came together follows this email...
shout back with a mailing address if you'd like to hear some sounds!!

And be quick as we only have a limited number available.

    Thanks.

    Peace.

    Keep the Faith.

    Jeffrey

Mudd Rides Chico Hamilton's Groove on "Kerry's Caravan"!!

Mudd started the affair of in London and sent a track in the
works along to be completed by Chico in NYC. Riding Chico's
signature "Conquistadors" beat are the original guitar parts
recorded in London by Bob Klose (a FOUNDING member of Pink
Floyd) and Richard Poynton (guitar player of UK house band
Crazy Penis), the keyboards of Tom Bailey (the classically-
trained key contributor of Fug), and the percussion parts of
Paul N. Murphy (best known as a member of the London based
Afro-Dance ensemble Akwaaba, whose releases have appeared on
the Idjut Boys' Discfunction label, and whose single "Just
Pilau" Francois Kevorkian turned into an anthem at Body &
Soul In NYC). Once the track was thoroughly locked down by
Chico's signature "Conquistadors" beat, a grooving Fender
bass part was added by Paul Ramsey (of Chico's working band
Euphoria), a haunting, atmospheric melody written by Chico
was added by vocalist Marya Lawrence (daughter of former
Chico band member Arnie Lawrence), the groove solidified
with percussion from Mark Robohm (former drummer of the
Burlington based Belizbeha and contributor to recent albums
by NYC's own Jazz Hole and Marlon Saunders), and toping
matters off is a burning and eloquent soprano sax solo
from Karolina Strassmayer (also of Chico's working band
    Euphoria).
