    Greetings,

I'm following up an intense weekend of DVD watching with an intense
evening of listening to new releases that have all, believe it or
    not, been excellent. For example:

August Engkilde Presents EPO: Electronic Panoramic Orchestra - a real
surprise. Electronics that are both gentle and complex, set against
quirky jazz and occasionally fronted by a woman who's part Bjork,
part Billie Holiday and a pinch of the chick in the Cardigans. As it
turns out, she's Frieda Asmussen, daughter of Danish swing
violinist, Sven Asmussen and Engkilde has played with Pole, Senor
Coconut, Flanger, and others in addition to his production work. The
album is the first release on Popscape - a spinoff from the parent
~scape label and we wish them lots of luck. Thanks to David at
Forced Exposure for turning me on to this one.

Nostalgia 77 is back with a new 12" - a cover of the White Stripes'
"Seven Nation Army," featuring Alice Russell belting out the lyrics
with gusto. Two additional exclusive tracks, some monster funk and a
TM Juke Remix later, you've got youself one heck of a 12".

Deladap's debut album, Cigani Rusza + Angelo has Parisian gypsy
overtones and would probably go well with a nice chianti....DJ
Florian Keller serves up a nice mix set with some extreme rare
grooves, each of which is a gem... on Party-Keller....just out on
    Compost.

There's more, but you'll have to tune in to find out.

    Ciao for now,
    David
