    Greetings,

I've just returned from the Fillmore, where Stereolab did a killer 90
minute set comprised of new and old material. It was my first time
seeing them live and I really enjoyed the interplay between
synthesizers (digital) and horns (trumpet, flugelhorn and trombone)
(analog). The 10 minute psych-jam at the end drove the audience into
a frenzy, then it was out the doors and back to reality.

Ninja Tune's Zentertainment extravaganza at Mezzanine last Friday
drew an amazing crowd, who assembled to see some of the label's
finest new talent at work. All the DJs were great, but Kid Koala
really got the party started right. Big thanks to Steph and Bob from
Triage for dinner, drinks and some great conversation. Y'all come
    back now, y'hear?

Those of you who listen to FreeFall on Netmusique's Jazzmusique
channel Thursday mornings will be happy to hear that the
re-broadcasts are back after a few weeks of technical difficulties.
Even better is the fact that a second airing has been added the
following day. Here are the times:

    Thursday 8am PT / 11am ET / 4pm GMT
    Friday 7pm PT / 10pm ET / 3am GMT

You can access the stream from the Web site
(http://www.netmusique.com), or directly from your iTunes player.
Just click the radio icon and go to Electronica / Jazzmusique and
enjoy! Of course you can also here the show 24/7 at the FreeFall
archives, or via RadioTake10.org. Check the links below.

New music for tonight's program includes the latest from Deadbeat,
Fragile State, Sixtoo, Bigga Bush and new compilations from Talkin'
Loud and 4 Hero. Next week we'll be showcasing the first of several
mix sets put together for us by Charlie Leach of whatmusic.com - the
UK label specializing in rare jazz and Brazilian sounds. Check the
Web site for more info and sound samples and/or tune in next week to
hear some of the dopest tunes around.

We'll be giving away tickets for AGF, Kaffe Matthews and Akira
Rabelais who are performing at the Recombinant Labs Compound this
Saturday night. More info and a map to the site is available at
    http://www.ashodel.com.

Finally, it's my birthday on Sunday and I'm going to party like it's
    199...uh, 200.......hmmm - darn senior moments!

    Ciao for now,
    David
