    hey elson!

yeah, i checked in on elsongs a few weeks back? i wondered what happened to
    the namm reports?

so much going on in la right now, (even tho im in phx!)

glad to see you mention the rebirth!!! straight quality and very
    inspirational...
"evil vibrations" is showing up everywhere, as did "this journey in."

other music i like from la... sa-ra... blowing up...the next outkast?

joy jones, sound in color, (albums with daz-i-kue) jennifer johns, (with
    cats of goapele fame)
sy smith has new trax w. ali-shaeed and james poyser... what? doing dates
    with a blazing new band.

speaking of must see bands... "the mission" is now "crown city rockers"
(repping pasadena in the bay?) very nice hip hop / jazz band. very tight
musicianship, lyrics flow over herbie hancock "thrust" era grooves. can u
    get more old school?

best thing about la, you've got to keep your eyes out at the bus station /
airport / amtrak for the next amazing talent!!! damon cooper, incredible
vocalist / guitar player... soaked in soul.... amazing!!! i saw him on a
monday nite in an almost empty (rare) temple bar at 10 pm... just him and
guitar... he started to play and sing, and EVERYONE just stopped and dropped
their mouths... even the waitresses / bartenders, and u know they'e jaded
    from hearing ALL the music.

anyway you probably know about all these groups but here's some links 4 the
    rest!!!
