    Hola,

It's a reeeealy big show tonight, beginning at 8pm as I fill in for
Harry Duncan with two hours of jazz, blues, R&B and a few surprises,
on "In The Soul Kitchen." At 10pm, it's bizzness as usual with two
hours of "FreeFall" and an interview with Pat Thomas from the band
Mushroom. They'll be bringing their distinctive brand of psychedelic
jazz to Bimbo's next week (opening for the Bad Plus), along with
    legendary trumpeter Eddie Gale.

Some of the new music on tap this evening includes the outstanding
new disc from Fertile Ground (Black Is), dub from Doctor Echo, a new
collection of remixes from Jimpster, sci-fi hip-hop from DJ Krush,
glitch pop from Dosh and (a)pendics.shuffle, jazz from David Murray
and my other fave of the week, the second album from Momma Gravy -
Adios. Formerly on Pork Recordings, MG has moved over to Birmingham's
Different Drummer, but has not lost their taste for interesting music
that's geared to both the cerebellum and the feet. Don't sleep on
    this one!

Back to the stacks - over and out!
    David
