    Hello all

Stylin 191 is now online to check out on Quantum Lounge:
    http://www.quantumlounge.net/misc/sound/radio/stylin/stylin.m3u

2 visitors to Melbourne joined me for this edition of Stylin. Shuya Okino from Kyoto Jazz Massive spoke to me from Tokyo where he now lives, runs a club called the Room, and produces KJM records in collaboration with his brother Yoshi in Osaka. Sounds like the brothers have some interesting new works in the pipeline, both their own KJM music and other productions. Among these are a new version of Sleepwalker's classic Ai-No-Kawa with vocals by Bembe Segue and a remix by Patrick Forge (perhaps with Da Lata), plus new albums from Sleepwalker members (and regular KJM collaborators) Hajime Yoshizawa and Masato Nakamura. One that wowed the crowd at the Shuya's Melbourne gig at Revolver on the weekend was a live version of KJM's Eclipse, performed by Sleepwalker with Bembe Segue.

Katalyst also dropped in while visiting from Sydney for the Guru gig. You may remember various Katalyst related tunes I've played on Stylin over the years, including the incredible Danielsan remix of Passing of Peace which was in my best of 2003, Katalyst's remix of Sydney soul singer Vassy, and most recently the great track Fire by Melbourne MC RuCL, who Stylin has long supported and who will soon be dropping an album for Katalyst's label Invada Records. Also look out for new material on Invada from hot Perth producer Flow Dynamics.

This week on Stylin: Melbourne DJ Simon Bajada drops in with a bag of tunes.

I'm off to Honkytonks now for a laugh with the Cuban Brothers.

    until then
