Dear friends,

Once again it’s time for a late-breaking news update from yours truly, DJ
Rocky Rococo.

This afternoon (Saturday) I’ll be hosting “Rucker Park” on KFJC from
Noon-3pm Pacific time. That’s 89.7 FM in the SF Bay Area and www.kfjc.org
everywhere else. I’ve picked up lots of new music in recent weeks; you can
expect to hear brand-new tracks from Cut Chemist, Quantic, and a whole bunch
of new artists that simply demand your attention! Plus, I’ll have tickets to
give away for upcoming live shows by Digable Planets and Coldcut. I hope you
can tune in.

I also wanted to let you know that KFJC is about to kick off our annual
“Month of Mayhem,” featuring special programming all month long. In fact,
next Saturday DJ Ann Arbor and I will be presenting “The Shape of Beats to
Come,” a three-hour look at the Tru Thoughts label from Brighton, England.
We’ll be featuring tracks from most of the label’s artists, plus interviews
with label head Robert Luis, Will “Quantic” Holland, Alex “TM Juke” Cowan,
and Ben “Nostalgia 77” Lamdin. The Tru Thoughts special will air Saturday,
Mayhem 6th, from 6-9pm Pacific time. And as a special “sneak preview,” Ann
Arbor and I will also be appearing on KFJC’s monthly music review program,
“Candy from the Current Bin,” to present our favorite Tru Thoughts tracks.
“Candy” airs Friday, Mayhem 5th, from 6-7pm Pacific.

Looking further into the month, you can always see what special programming
KFJC has in store by pointing your browser to our Specials and Events page,
http://www.kfjc.org/promotions/index.php.

That’s about all for this time. As usual, feel free to email me back with
any questions or feedback. Thanks for reading!

Cheers,

--
