Keep an ear and eye out for a band from Toronto called ONE STEP BEYOND. They're
going into the studio at the end of the summer to record an LP. This band
definitely kicks the live jazz-funky groove. They are to Toronto what
GROOVE COLLECTIVE is to New York City - the revival of Fat Albert's Junkyard
Band.

Speaking of the Junkyard Band a.k.a. Herbie Hancock, I heard that he also
wrote two songs for Sesame Street: The one that goes "1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10
11 12 Doo Doodoo Doodoodoo Doo Doodoo Doodoodoo Doo Doodoo Doo Doo Doodoo..."
and the song they used to play at the end of every show when all those messages
appear about "Funding for Sesame Street was brought to you by the Corporation
for Public Broadcasting...." Does anyone know what album these two songs are
off of? Thanks. I've just recently come to realize how much of his music is
found in my childhood memories - especially ROCKIT back in the breakdancing
days (eh, Prasad?).
