vinyl copies of this legendary gil scott-heron album are exceedingly hard
to come by, and trade at the sort of prices already posted on this
subject. the only copies i have ever come across have been in london,
and i have looked all over the world (quite appropriately).

in japan, however, it has been legally pressed onto cd by arista/bmg
(call #: BVCA-1033), and is available int he states on import, at about
$30. Granted, you can't mix it, but to have the title track and "new
york city" forever and ever (or at least until oxidation) is pretty
important as well.

btw, has anybody ever seen "nyc" on vinyl aside from the original double
lp? "it's your world" has been booted a couple of times, but i've never
seen anything else off the album in a fat-groove format.

keep the fatih,
