---I've heard a cover of Gil Scott-Heron's "The Bottle" by a group called
Brother to Brother. I know of only one version of this song on Gil's "It's
Your World" double live album with Brian Jackson. Did Gil release a studio
version of this song? If so, on what album? I have lots of his stuff but most
is late '70s-'80s stuff.
---I picked up an album from a group "Crown Heights Affair" (circa '72 or so).
Great album but I don't know a thing about them. Anyone??
---Ditto for The Counts. I have a couple of reissue discs from them but know
not a thing about them.
