On The One's anniversary celebration, at the sophisticated 42? restaurant and
bar(formerly the Espirit Cafe), brings DJs and musicians from all over the
international funky jazz scene for nine hours of eclectic music representing
the breadth and depth of our vibrant culture. From Japan DJ/producers Raphael
Sebbag from UFO (Verve/Talkin' Loud Records) and Nobukazu Takemura (Bellissima!
Records); from Austria DJ/producers Kruder & Dorfmiester (G-Stone Records);
from Washington DC DJ/producer/musician Eric Hilton from Exodus Quartet
(Instinct Records); from England the explosive JazzCoTech jazz dancers and from
San Francisco the cream of local DJs Andrew and Caspar from On The One, George
(BPO), Felix (Black Diamond). This event will also feature exclusive
perfomances by UK soul sensation Omar (RCA/Groovetown Records), Ubiquity
recording artists Neomythic and special surprise guests.
Located on the Bay at 16th and 3rd St., 42? provides an ideal setting for this
event. The main dining area will be transformed into a dance floor, with a
chill-out balcony area complete with circular booths and a large patio/garden
for soaking the rays and checking the live performances. 42?'s delicious oven-
baked pizzas and full selection of beer, wine and cocktails will be available
all day. A funky blend of concert, street party, club, Sunday brunch and all-
dayer the On The One Anniversary Party will offer more than enough reasons for
sticking around till the sun sets and the dance floor explodes.
