I'm really surprised to not hear more discussion of Fila Brazilia
'round these parts. Haven't yet come up with my own top 5 list but
these guys will definitely make a showing. Unfortunately, for all that
I appreciate their music, they're not really a group I know that much
about. So does anyone have suggestions for albums of theirs that I
should keep an eye out for? I've already got "Old Codes New Chaos" (or
is it the other way around? ;) ) as well as a few singles here and
there ("Harmonicas Are Shite" is one I can think of). I thought about
picking up the Taste of Pork album, but decided against it when I saw
that FB cohabitates with Straights of Abraham, with whose full-length I
was not impressed at all. That and the import price, of course.
Should I reconsider?

Steve

PS a couple people wrote to mention that when talking about K&D I'd
forgotten their output as Tosca. Far from forgotten! In fact
"Chocolate Elvis" has been a fave of mine since hearing it on Abu's
excellent demotape earlier this year. Just happened to be talking
specifically about the G-Stoned album as the question was asked ;)
