A great week for reissues:

---Bob James entire Tappan Zee collection was just re-released and I mean all
of them ("One" through "BJ 4", "Sign of the Times", "Touchdown", "H", et al.)
so now we can all spot the samples :-) as well as enjoy one of the funkiest
keyboardists of the time.

---A brand new collection of rare grooves that lives up to its name, "Move To
Groove: Best of '70s Jazz Funk", this is a new double disc set put out by our
friends at Verve/Polygram/Chronicles. This has to be the best compilation I've
bought in a while, it puts the weak "Talkin' Jazz" to shame. The collection
includes mostly hard-to-find (and some previously unreleased) tracks from Kool
and the Gang, Roy Ayers, Jimmy Smith, Ahmad Jamal (if you haven't checked out
his early to mid '70s jams, then you're missing out!). GET THIS COLLECTION!!!
