Oh goodie, more late 70's fusion trivia. That would be Flora Purim's "Open
Your Eyes, You Can Fly" on Fantasy Records, recorded after her release from
prison for cocaine possession. As for the funky bassist on the title track,
that was Alphonso Johnson I believe (used to be with Weather Report and
later, the Crusaders). Wonder what he's been up to lately though, I'm
getting nostalgic for yet another cover of "Bahama Mama". :)

Speaking of the Crusaders, I heard an old track recently that had Larry
Carlton on guitar called "Put it Where You Want It". Very soulful and funky,
and just right for the AJ list. I'm now looking for this... Does anyone know
what album this is from?
