I guess we solved the Greybreaks problem. Sorry for feeding you the wrong info
yesterday...

What's happening in San Diego... well, we just had both the clothing convention
and our local jazz weekend, Street Scene. I completely missed the clothing
convention and instead caught some of the Street Scene acts like Maceo
Parker (Fred Wesley sat in), Jacky Terrason's piano trio, James Moody, and
ofcourse, the you-know-who Allstars (that would be Greyboy). Street Scene
is a traditional weekend event here... it was 3 days this year and the first
two days are 21 and over only. Keep an eye open for it next September... I wish
I'd said something sooner for all of you local friends. Also happening here
in San Diego, there are about a million little jazz bands popping up and trying
to cash in on the recent hype. BEWARE... I even heard that an indie rock band
that I know is going to try to do jazz from now on. The old venues are no
longer reliable... ask around before you pay.

Will I see anyone here at the Green Circle tomorrow? That, I know, will be fun.

Now about this little problem we're having...

> do care about your ignorance, and that last post was chock full. I do
> have a big bnname in the music world, actually a few different music
> worlds, I also am known for articles I write in music mags, and a few
> othe rhats , like arranging for others and doing commercials.

My god - is it possible that we actually may know this person?! I sure as
hell hope not - and about the show references... I'm not about to tell
you where to go to catch good acid jazz because 1) I find you so personally
offensive that I hope to never meet you in person and 2) you failed to
tell the list where you live.

How long do we give this guy until we just boot him off the list? I know he
must have recieved dozens of requests for restraint and he's still going
strong.

And, Fingers, why don't you just tell us who the hell you are? Are you
afraid you'll be bombarded with fan mail...

xo,
