My turn:

On one mailing list I belong to, each message posted to the list
includes a footer on the bottom of the list as follows:

-----
+ DO NOT INCLUDE THIS TRAILER IN REPLIES TO THE LIST!
+ The preceding message is from the X mailing list
+ To submit an article, send it to X@tcp.com
+ To sub, unsub, etc., send mail to Majordomo@tcp.com
+ Do not send mail to catch-X-errors@tcp.com;
+ it is used only to collect bounce messages.

Needless to say, I've _never_ seen a stray unsubscribe message
posted to that list. Would it be possible to check with the ucsd
server to see if such a footer could be tagged on to messages
posted here? > Eric?

You'd think that new AOL members are subscribed to the AJ list the
minute they join up with the frequency of unsubscribe messages
we get here. Indeed its been said here before that its not the
user's fault that AOL doesn't explain netiquette and protocols,
but really... How many times do we have to say it?
