Umm... Johnson is on at least three Weather Report LPs, to my knowledge
("Mysterious Traveller", "Tale Spinnin'" and "Black Market".)

Firstly, like everyone else, my advice is to buy a copy of Time Out as soon
as you get here. It's weekly, covering wednesday to wednesday, and the new
issues turn up on Central London newsstands around tuesday lunchtime
(wednesday morning elsewhere.) It'll tell you what's on, where, and will
often give you enough info about unfamiliar artists to let you make a
decision.

Never, ever heard of this place.

Used to be jazzier than it is now. Haven't been there for a while.

No. This is pretty much a straight blues venue.

A good place, in my opinion, though the sound system is a bit overloaded at
times.

It *was* hip, but doesn't exist anymore. It's now the Blue Note, and is now
hipper than ever.

Not very good, in my experience.

As far as bhangra jungle goes, I've not come across any _obvious_ fusion -
but jungle has always had a strong asian following, so I'd be _very_
surprised if there wasn't some going on. The trouble that asian artists
have in this country is getting distribution outside of cassettes in asian
stores - so the best way to track down some of this stuff would be to take
a trip to Southhall and check out some of the shops there.
