In defense of this comp, I got it relatively cheap through BMG music
services and was very pleased. It's part of my informal "roots of aj"
collection, along with other comps that have been put out recently. At
times when I take an aj "break" I listen to these comps to remind me that
the music was there before the recent artists picked it up. For the most
part, I like what's been done and I enjoy listening to the "roots" stuff.
I hope this doesn't generate a repeat of the "what is roots of aj?"
thread. I hadn't heard the promos for "talkin'" so I guess that's why I
wasn't bothered.
