Oh and another thing - someone mentioned the Skatalites - as Kevin
(see below) says, there is a lot of jazz influence. I have an old
Skatalites lp I forget the name (its got '10000 tons of tnt' on it) - and
its very jazzy. I always assumed that the Skatalites were the horn
section (its instrumental). It has loads of jazzy covers on including
Brubek's "Take 5" !
