Welcome to Los Angeles!

(I see you're going to USC...fight On! <I'm from School Of Journalism
'95>)

I maintain a couple Web pages on that topic..I maintain a weekly list of
live and club events on my Los Angeles Acid Jazz Happenings Web Page at:

http://www.westworld.com/~elson/music/lajazz.html

If you're into seeing some cool stuff this weekend, check out club
JAZZID UP! every Sunday night at 8p.m. at Zabumba Brazilian Restaurant
(it's a very colorful building, you can't miss it!)
at 10717 Venice Blvd (at Overland Ave) in West Los Angeles. Did I mention
that this weekly club is run by a couple list members and their friends?

Also, check the "clubs" section of the main Acid Jazz page
(http://www.cmd.uu.se:80/acidjazz/) and click on "Los Angeles"; I
contributed a list of weekly regular events and a listing of all the local
acid-jazz-like bands.

Speaking of bands, if you get a chance, check out the bands JIBE, PMJQ,
WEST COAST HAREM and INDIGENOUS COLORS, especially because they have
members who are also on this acid jazz list (let's face it, we RULE this
town!) :)
