Well, while you are saving yourself time, you may be wasting other's. Not
everyone reads through every post, and I, for one, don't want to have to
read through an entire re-post to understand a reply.

I think you can make your case by pasting one or two sentences (not a great
time commitment) with your comments/rebuttal. By doing so, one may also
improve ones writing style by making more directed comments that are more
to the point.

I do too. But not everyone can do this for free...
