You should definetly check out Matt Coopers project OUTSIDE on the DORADO
label. He has released two albums, Almost in and, The Rough and the Smooth.
Some really excellent keyboard playing (particulary Fender Rhodes) can be
heard. Matt Cooper follows in the tradition of Herbie Hancocks 70s period,
where he combines funky grooves with jazzy style and excellent production.
If you dig HHs Manchild, Headhunters and Thrust, you cannot afford to miss
it! Also check out Bob James recordings, number 3 is a good example.
Another cool keyboardfunkateer is Eumir Deodato, he has released many good
records where he plays MOOGS, CLAVINETS and RHODES.
