Maim that Tune is creatively (as well as literally) the midpoint between Old Codes & Mess - it's more synthy than Mess but has more of a breakbeat element than Old Codes. You definitely should get the album, esp. if you have not heard "A Zed & 2 L's" - that song alone justifies the purchase IMHO. "Harmonicas are Shite" is another personal favorite, as well as "At Home in Space".

Since I was posting I thought I'd also add another thumbs up for DJ Shadow's new one. This album really impressed me - the guy really knows how to write songs. Definitely more of a 'listening' album than a DJ friendly one, which I like - and his production & drum programming are top notch. It's incredibly variant, incredibly smooth & seamless, and incredibly expressive. Already on my top 5 of 96 list.
