Her recent LPs are very good (in fact, some of the tracks are amazing -
check out her version of Van Morrison's "Tupelo Honey") but I'm still much
more into some of her earlier stuff - in particular "Jump World" (produced
by Steve Coleman, on JMT) which is one of my all-time favourite LPs (and one
of whose tracks gives my domain it's name.) I don't think you can go wrong
buying either "New Moon Daughter", "Blue Light 'Til Dawn" or "Blue Skies"
(her Grammy winning standards LP, also on JMT.) "Jump World" is possibly not
so easy to get on with - but is definitely worth checking out.

None of them are like "Jazz Stories" - some are straight-up Jazz, some are
jazz with a soul influence and one is reggae ("Coming Home".) Apart from the
last one, Pine's overblown LP titles - a habit he thankfully seems to have
given up - mean that I can't remember which is which off the top of my head...
