>Just picked up Dana Bryant's 1995 album Wishing from the Top and I'm really
enjoying it. Been a fan of hers since seeing her with Ronny Jordan a
coupla years back. The poetry's fun, she's got a cool voice, and the
music's groovy and interesting (incl Mick Talbot of Style
Council/Galliano/Talbot-White fame).

So, can anyone tell me what she's been up to since this release? Any other
recordings (I know about the Ronny Jordon and the Rebirth of the Cool 4
track) ? Does she gig regularly in NYC? etc

I saw Dana Bryant at the Jazz Bop in Brighton last week, she was excellent, this
time she had 3 musician with her - but not the guys on the LP. A drummer,
keyboard player and bass guitarist. I saw her last Novemebr and she was by
herself. The musicians brought more life to her set. If she gigs near you be
sure not to miss her, you also get treatd to her modern day version of Gil Scot
Heron's 'The Revolution will not be televised'
