It is great to be able to listen to those albums that I purchased two or
three years ago and get the same fresh feeling from them again, like
listening to Sketches of Spain or an Eddie Palmieri groove .

circling back around....as I've been reading this thread and the buckshot
thread, I'm also reminded of a recent experience where I put Buckshot on for a
friend (all right, so I only listened to the scratch opera and both versions
of blackwidow and the caged bird thing) and had that type of 'fresh'
experience. Ultimately great musicianship really does add a lot to
longevity....and that's why I did like Buckshot, because they know jazz and
they can play it...(*especially the live show so I'm glad they're releasing
another album, hopefully they'll tour).

I can't wait for my *kids* to explore my albums (hopefully we'll have one of
those 'old' CD players laying around) to see what they think is the good
stuff.
