Reply to: RE>tempos !

you ask such silly questions! no offense intended, but I don't think butts
perform any mathematical tempo calculations when they decide whether or not to
shake.

Of course, being such a headcase, mine actually takes the square root of the
tempo and divides it by two, and rounds up the result. If it's an odd number,
the shake starts with the left cheek. But that's about as far as it goes.
So I think you should release a track that has a negative tempo, because there
are no such things as square roots of negative numbers, which will leave my
ass thoroughly confused.

Dear list:

I am planning a 12' release late in the year and i was wondering
what is the best tempo to put things out on generally. I guess were
talking breakbeat/house. Im currently doing stuff at 125 bpms as that
is the approx speed of my alltime fave rap record "it takes two" by Rob
Base. I know turntables have pitch wheels but the closer the
natural speed to what the dj plays the better especially fractional
stuff. I just wanted a poll as to what the dominant non-jungle tempo
is. A lot of my auidiences are black and they tend not to go above 138.
