Just wanted to send a shout out to let anyone interested know that rare
groove/soul icon Gwen McCrae (Keep The Fires Burning, All This Love
That I'm Givin', Funky Sensation, Rockin' Chair, 90% Of Me Is You,
Girlfriends Boyfriend) will be performing on the 'Electric Circus'
show on the Muchmusic network Canada. I know some of you folks in the
States receive the broadcast and am told others get it via sattelite.
Sinning on the show will be Jason Palma (Heavy Handed, Streetsouds mag,
Higher Ground CIUT T.O.) and Mike Tull (Soultap, Abstrct mag, Higher
Ground). Toronto's Bump N' Hustle crew (musicians, DJs) will be opening
the club show she'll be at that night. Anyone needing info on the gig can
post me.

Acid Jazz list: I peeped Michael Donaldson on Electric Circus a few weeks
back when they covered the Orlando scene.

While imatit: On New Years eve I was at a party, the dancefloor was packed
out. The DJs that night I knew were junglist to the bone and I knew it was
a matter of time before they dropped some. Sure enough a half hour set of
jungle was dropped. All good stuff much of it which I own myself. I then
waited to see if anyone on the dancefloor could actually *dance* to jungle
'cause I ain't seen anyone who can yet -straight up (and I'm not talking
no all purpose quirky jerky sh1t). Sure enough the crowd eventually
thinned out to a couple of inebriates who were dancing way out of time.
This is no dis to those people 'cause as a club promoter I thank God for
anyone who will either break the ice or maintain when its needed. My
question is how do folks dance to jungle in your hood?
