totally agree there... the difference between the programs arent that
big... stick to the one you are used too... if you run into problems
there is a small interesting program called MIDIMUX (if memory serves me
rigth). This will create a "virtuall" midi-port within your system,
that is to say you can combine different effect-programs and such using
them on different channels in the sequenser.... (its all in the
computer). So, with this you can put "live-effects" thro too...

About the soundcard... Ok, the AWE-32 dont quite pull thro... but, I do
think the new AWE64 GOLD will be a small sollution for the better (even
for the wallet compared with thoose really expensive stuff). The digital
out-ports on the GOLD card will at least make recording quality kinda
better....

Another problem, when people mention using programs like the Cooledit
and such is the sound-quality... this, at least for me, seems to be
lacking and loosing in the end... (if you dont go for WAVE all the
way...). If you need to convert stuff I have only found the AWAVE
software to be reliable (but still lacks in quality Im afraid..).

For fun, I just got a effectprogram wich is supposed to be run with a
joystick :). Havent tried it out but it sounds lika a fun idea at least
:).....

Im not an expert on this... just having fun sometimes... (if I find the
time)... :)
