I guess i can see a turn towards electronic music here in Norway. Fisrt
of all, i might add that there's only four national radio-channels, the
rest is local or atleast restricted to some erea.
As for the national chanels, theres a weekly two hour long hiphop show
(w/ Tommy Tee wich is pretty decent), four hours of techno every
saturday (in prime-time) + a funk/soul show.
Allso, a show wich have been running for years have lately been playing
more and more electronic music (jungle, hiphop, techno..etc.) ...they've
allways been alternative (really alternative..not "mtv-alternative'ish")
and as of today they play everything from dj food to sepultura to old
porn movie soundtracks.

My local stations is ok too i guess. A techno/trance show called
Beatservice have been on weekly for allmost 10 years (this is by the
same people that run the label Beatsevice, if youve heard of it) +
theres been some other shows from time to time (basicly house and
techno). What IS lacking on my local stations tho is hiphop, acid jazz,
drum'n'bass and stuff like that... as i see it, if it doesnt get better
i have to do something myself (If i get the chance that is..).

The reason my local stations is so into techno/house could be explained
by the fact that my city, Tromso, has been called "the european Detroit"
and have spawned artists like Volcano/Alania, Aedena Cycle, Biosphere,
one half of Illumination, Bel Canto, Ismistik and lotsa other acts.. +
the labels Biosphere and Flamingo Records.

Well..im outie..
