hey all,

I heard the advance copy of coldcut's "more beats and pieces" today and
it is GREAT!!!!! of course if anyone has been keeping tabs in the ninja
tune sight you will have heard a lot of these songs already. Anyways, its
a good bunch of remixes. THat boy kid koala...1998 is too long to wait
for a full length from this guy.

I also heard the first half of the new COldcut full length. It wasnt too
bad. Not what I personally was expecting. I dont know, I dont think Ive
ever been properly introduced to coldcut. COldkrushcuts was just a mix
album, and the atomic moog, like more beats and pieces, was a bunch of
remixes. SO this is my first exposure to COldcut as an unrefined artist.
Not what I expected. A friend of mine was listening to this album with me
today and said during the first song: it makes you wonder why someone
would do this when there's all these other people are doing it better (in
this case he was comparing the first track here to the first track on
amon tobin's album bircolage)
Of course a lot of you may disagree with this statement, but I did feel
there was some validity to what he said.

in other news: I also heard UFO for the first time today. I liked it when
it was instrumental, but fot the most part the vocals bugged...

I also heard up bustle and out. I liked that as well, but dont remember
it well enough to know why.
enough for now.
