If you eventually do find a place in the Bay area that retails the
above-mentioned, or even some of the swiss stuff (Fabe, La Majorite
Silencieuse...), or even one that would carry Jimmy Jay's "Les Cool
Sessions" which I've been looking for for months, please let me
know!

Have you checked out Menelik's "element manquant" on the La Yellow
Compilation? I like it a lot, although I heard some call it weak.
I don't think it's weak, it's just a bit minimalist the way say
detroit-techno is minimalist: just the right amount of very low
bass and a few layers of sound (which Menelik introduces one by
one, a concept that I like). Check it out, esp. if you speak french.
