some stuff I've gotten lately:

sunshine state of mind- ffrr
Not Acid-Jazz. Not down tempo either. Mostly florida house with long
breaks, lots of high-hats, and cheesy synths that I hate myself for
loving. Makes me wanna spin out in a field somewhere surrounded by
5,000 wasted people. Redeeming factor: Q-Burn's Abstract Message's
Puff the Magic, Mot's Rain, Pimp Daddy Nash's Balloon to the Moon, Dj
Icey's The Air is Full of Sound. Dance music for the Headz.

the herbaliser, blow your headphones- ninja tune
Its been mentioned before but Hurray! for it anyway. Didn't know I was
in for all this hip hop and loving it. 'specially Ginger Jumps the
Fence, the Blend, Mr Chombee has a Flaw. Hardcore had me rolling. I've
heard a better version of Theme from the Control Center on the New and
Improved single though. And I've seen two different jackets for this
album, mine has headphones on the front with the center cut out to show
the record sleeves and the other looked like graffiti; anyone know if
they are the same inside?

Latryx, latryx- solesides
you should know by now this is outstanding. there was definately a
difference between the tracks produced by DJ Shadow and those done by
others.

mekon featuring schoolly, skool's out- wall of sound
throw your motherfuckin' hands in the air, this'll make you bounce. Also
has a funky less-mekon-like mix that's good too. But was it worth $9 for
4 different mixes of the same song? don't know yet.

dope on plastic 4- react
lots and lots of music. mostly good for new leads to search the bins
for like Little Axe and Killer Moses. Love the dritry synth on
Insomniac. kind of Skint-like but better.

monkey mafia, 15 steps- heavenly
I wish there were 15 songs on the album. big bass, and fast. my
favorite new purchase, i'm sure it'll will keep the floors moving.

some less shallow stuff I picked up used:
coldcut- autumn leaves (like the b side alot)
coldcut- return of the brother zen (samples : ) samples coldcut=jesus)
reality drip- apples, bannanas and oranges (kinda good, needs another
listen)
raucous aka sabotage- no way out (from my favorite instinct (shadow)
cassette sampler, now I've got one on vinyl, 8 to go)

...and I wonder why I haven't seemed to have any $$$ the last three
monthes.
