Hey y'all --

I was doing some cruising in the Acid Jazz archives and came across a
thread where y'all were discussing funky brass, with several people
mentioning the Mighty ReBirth.

Thought you might like to know we've created a site for those bad boys
at:

<http://www.ikoiko.com/rebirth>

Drop on by and check out the brothers and a sound clip or two ... we'll
be premiering their new album on the site, due out April 14.

Also happy to report for all the Plunge-fans out there that the
estimable Mark McGrain has moved to New Orleans, and I had the pleasure
of seeing him play his amazing alphorn at a party at Michael Ray's house
a while back ... looking forward to catchin' up with Mark's funky
trombone at Snug Harbor here later this month. Wish the rest of the
Plunge guys would shag on down here and join him -- never yet got to
hear what all the Northeast fuss is about, but shore would like to!

Peace on y'all--
