brand new brand new heavies

Heads,

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the heavies' single on the "love jones"
soundtrack, titled "I like it". And guess what? I like it!

It's a lively party tune with that unmistakable heavies groove, and
Siheda (sp?) Garrett is a more than capable lead singer, although she's no
N'Dea Davenport. God, I love N'Dea, any word on her long anticipated solo
album?

If this song is any indication of what the new album is going to be like,
The heavies are continuing to put out tight, consistent, funky product.

By the way, as a whole, the "love jones" soundtrack isn't all that bad,
with a great tune by Lauryn Hill of the Fugees, a new Groove Theory song,
a slow burner by Cassandra Wilson, and a nice
alternative-soul-whatver-you-want-to-call-it song by Dionne Farris. Run,
don't walk to your local CD merchant...

Peace,

Steve
