Howdy,

the Mastercut series started in the beginning of the 90's with a series
called Best of Jazz Funk. I think, since then they already released 5 Jazz
Funk samplers. I have all of them and they are great. They cover all this
rare jazz funk anthems like Ronnie Law's "Always there" (see Incognito) and
others. All songs are digitally remastered and therefore in an incredible
quality on the CD. After the success of this series, they released other
samplers called Funk, Rare Grooves, Hip Hop, House, New Jack Swing. I can
highly recommend the Rare Grooves and the Funk samplers.

The label is Beechwood from London, England (I think). I have to take a
look at home. They are also available on Vinyl!! I am sure your local CD
store can order them.
