All of y'all in the Birmingham area can get your fix of high-density,
low-end sonic grooves when Mark McGrain and PLUNGE appear at Zydeco's on
15th Ave South in Birmingham on Thursday, October 9th. McGrain on
trombone (the weapon of the future) and alphorn (yes, alphorn) will be
joined by bass master Kirk Joseph (ex-Dirty Dozen sousaphonist) on tuba
and mad drummer Bob Moses. More info from the club at 205.933.1032.
Taping is encouraged.

On October 19th, Charlottesville, Virginia will get PLUNGE'd at 8pm at a
concert on the UVA campus. More info from local radio station WTJU,
where the boyz will make an in-studio appearance sometime on the
afternoon of the 19th.

This two outings mark the first time the PLUNGErs have appeared in 1997
to re-create the sound of last year's great groove-jazz CD "Falling With
Grace", but lots more will be coming up, starting with San Francisco on
October 23 and 24 (Bruno's, Cafe du Nord, Jupiter).
