Wow, here I am on my third post of the day already....

Lets see? Non-American black artists .... You got Soul II Soul, we had
Loose Ends, Monie Love, Maxie Priest, Shabba Ranks, Chaka Demus and
Pliers, Ini Kamoze, Wyclef Jean (may be American...but I've heard'em
rapping in Haitian french on DC radio), Super Cat, Five Starr had a hit,
Carleen Anderson was getting airplay for a while, of course there is Sade
who is massive...and a little Seal (but not much Seal. They put out a
really shitty re-mix for Seal...that pissed me off)

It doesn't happen every season...but we do get heavy rotation from time to
time....just not from the Goldies, Roni Size's, Tricky's, Guy called
Gerald's and anyone else pushing the envelope. Black America shys away
from experimentation and "being different" ... at least the Black America
I live in does....Remember, they didn't start playing hip hop on urban radio
until a few years ago....and the hip hop they do play is generally pretty
damn weak.
