ON THE SUBJECT OF BOOTLEGS
> By the time you see the bootleg on the stands its too late . That
seems to be enough to cancel the album. I wish I had those bootlegs you
mention from the "unreleased sessions'. Why is he so sensitive . Why
does he keep getting bootlegged. I bought the new one with the Primo
track(DOPE! DOPE!) thats out now. I know it hurts sales, but the
solution is faster release times. Personally I thought he was
bootlegging himself to make ends while on the Dl. He may be; this could
be a froont . Someone in his camp is doing it. Same with the Kane joint
( dope , Dope!) thats out ( b-side is called "Unda presha" ); I
thought he was doing it himself because he cant get off his label and he
knows he has enough residual love that awhite label can move just by
showin up in the shops and he sellin them out the crib and keepin 100%.
I know this when you see a bootleg come out with an accapella mix that
means the perp has the masters or it was bootlegged of a promo or an
import. I know Aaliyah 1 in a million had a Uk release with acxcapella
so when the white label came out i know how they did it but sometimes it
must be an engineer who had the master or someone at the plant. think
about it. any way dont sweat it we cant change the world.
