strings interact with the electronic beats is incredible. a very personal
album and more cohesive than her past efforts. the album is more akin to
"telegram" than "post." only one real uptempo track, "pluto" which is a
techno throwdown (with strings!) a definite candidate for album of the
year, but with portishead's eponymous album due out next week, it's got
some strong contention.

and brian mcknight is, well, same old brian mcknight. i only heard the
tracks being played at the wiz...but "you should be mine" sticks out like
a sore thumb on the album.
