Greetings all. Just wanted to rave about a new split double 10" i picked
up by Jimpster and Kosma(?). This group Jimpster is just amazing. Anyone
into Air would be down with em'. Their songs are so deep. This 10" is
kind of like LTJ Bukem meets Air. It's got that LTJ Bukem vibe (harps,
flutes, seagulls, organs, sweeping atmospheric sounds etc.) yet it is
less repetitive. Each layer of sound is constantly changing and the beat
is always doing something new. Plus they have (sparingly) very cool
vocal samples in certain songs. I'm on this experimental laid back
spacey trip right now and this is the best thing i've come across yet
(although i can't wait to get that Waiwan full length) It might have
something to do with the fact that the people in the group play the
instruments, therefore have their foot in the door compositionally
before it goes into that "cold metal box". Anyone have any info on these
guys and where they came from? I have the EP as well, but they have a
full length that i could use some feedback on....

Now a desperate question. Do any of you DJs know where i can find the
tape labels that cover the entire tape with the window in the middle?
Like a mail order situation. Is there a place that sells different
variations of em'? Certain stores i am having trouble getting my tape in
solely because it is a requirement for mixed tapes (stupid, huh) Thanks
in advance!
