There have been many comments on the list concerning the Air vocals.
Frankly, I would have preferred an instrumental record, since I love Air's
orchestrated sleeziness. But putting expectations aside, I enjoy all of
the new Air release. The vocoder vocals are excellent (and I think very
continuous with the mood of the earlier Air releases) and I even enjoy the
somber pop stylings of the tracks with the female vocalist--can't remember
her name. Whoever she is, she has an ep coming out with her own tracks
with the Air duo performing on her record. Moon Safari may not have lived
up to my original expectations, but it pleasantly surprised me. Air has
always had a "pop" (though not "popular") appeal to it, and they really
milked this resource on the lp. Though, I would still flip for the
instrumental versions of the vocal Air tracks!

Speaking of sexy, you should check out a new Yellow Prods. Kid Loco 12".
I think it is for "She's my lover." Kid Loco remixes the track himself,
as well as a remix by Bang Bang which is pure sleezy brilliance. There is
an oddly agressive and overtly sexual b-side, which though I found
somewhat funny, could never get any live dj use out of. Sex noises and
the word fuck repeated too many times just loses a crowd.
