Dear list : Justwent to A different funky goodwill than my usual
picked overspot and found George Bensons "White Rabbit" on cti records
for $1.50 Great condition too. The baseline on white rabbt was used by
some rap group(Ron Carter played on the album) but I dont know which.
Any Help? Also bought Tony Williams "Believe It" on Columbia but while
there is oe sorta loop on the first side first cut this was nt as clear
a winner for the buck 50. Another thing. I ra a couple of
K-tel comps and gotta tell ya they were pretty o target for beats .
One had "bongo rock by the guys that gave us "Apache". Both songs are
on Ultimate breaks and beats and i have them so I passed. Another
had"Scorpio " by Dennis Coffey(1) also passed as i have that twice on
45 and on the Kurtis Blow cd promo(History of rap) and yet another had
"iwanna do something freaky to you" by Leon Heywood. If i had neve
heard of these and bought K-tel comps this way i would have a good
collection as it was i had hit another spot and was trying to economize.
By the way if you ever see Ragnarok: Electric Funk" by Beaver and Krause
get it A) its sellable to me and an army of Noodle lovers who buy moogy
soundscpaes fro the 70's. and B) its fly add drums and you got Dj krush
of" Turntabilised "era- which is my interest in A-above
