I think 'Shelter' is such a great album. Although it sounds totally
different from other Brand New Heavies albums (Shelter is very R&B). But
still its great. >>
Well, even though it doesn't have the raw funk feel of the other albums, I
have a hard time calling it an "R&B" album given the relative garbage that
falls under that category today. I think to call it R&B as R&B is defined
today would be doing it an injustice. I'm not sure what I would call it, but
it would not be R&B.
<< And now that she has left the band, i really hope that the Heavies will
back to the way they used to sound ! Funky bass line, "wah" guitar, and dont
forget the brass

Siedah left the group? I didn't realize this. Was she a one record deal from
the beginning? Why did she leave? Is there any word on a replacement?
