Betty Davis is one of the few females who makes this kind of hard funk. I
don't know which album you purchased but it could be "they say I'm
different" (1974) or "Betty Davis" (1973). You should check out the the
liner notes 'cause it could be Larry Graham who plays on the album together
with one or two members of his band "Graham Central Station".
I've got the album "Nasty Gal" (1975) also very nice funk with a rocky
kinda feel to it. By the way she has been married to Miles (Davis) which is
featured on one number of the album Nasty Gal. This is about all the info
I've got.

p.s. Betty Davis albums are normally pretty expensive (about $30) so this
proofs that it sure pays off to check out these 'dump-bins'
