Hi everyone,

sorry about this, but.... did someone say recently that they picked up the
music that's featured on the nike adverts showing during the world cup with
all them football players? What is it?? I share a house with someone who
is dying to know....

Kboy

Just to make the message worthwhile, here's some stuff I'm listening to ...
all a bit jazzy at the moment but what the heck...

Miles Davis Quintet ... box set 1965-68
This is some seriously classic shit ... the quintet with Tony Williams,
Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter and Ron Carter. I had to lay off any other
purchases for a while to save for it, but it's been worth it. Six disks of
beautifully remastered stuff, really nicely packaged with great essays and
session details, and it takes you on a fantastic trip through the life of
this great group. I had a few of the quintet cds already, but it's
definitely worth having the box if you're into them. Damn! Can't wait for
the next box set, which apparently will be moving from Filles de
Killamonjaro through to Bitches Brew...

Boogaloo Joe Jones ... My Fire
Someone mentioned this a while back ... thanks! Saw it recently as part of
a cheap 2fer cd and it's cool. Great soul jazz guitar. Also been
listening to his later album called Black Whip, which is just as good.

Wyton Kelly/Wes Montgomery ... Live at the Half Note
Great match up, with some long, stretched out tunes including No Blues and
Four on Six that are very groovy.
