Karl Berger, the German avant-garde vibist? This seemed like a completely
odd pairing until I sussed the Bill Laswell connection (Berger worked on
Material's THIRD POWER album in 91). Yeah, I gotta hear this track.

Agreed. Although occasionally too polite for my tastes, this record does
possess the ability to disorient the listener with its jarring mix of cool
jazz and contemporary (read, digital) electronics. Could be monstrous with
a funkier bottom...
