RE: Roots of AJ (was Recommend CDs)

It just occurred to me that if you want to delve into the roots of Acid
Jazz, check out the first Galiano album and have a look at the inner
sleeve. It is basically a bunch of names checking all of the artists -
jazz, funk and otherwise - who influenced the whole scene in the UK in
the early 90s. Otherwise peoples lists seem to be a good mix of what is
happening now.

Definitely get the first Tribe album or any of them for that matter. I
read an interview with Gilles where, asked for his dream signings to
Talkin Loud, responded: Tribe Called Quest and John Coltrane. Obvious
innit!
