Thanks for the reply and info, Alex. I think there actually ARE two Chester
Thompson's, from the same 'era' - but I think the other one is a drummer. I
just can't recall his band affiliation at the moment, that's why I was curious
about the one you mentioned.

I'm pretty sure it is him. The All Music Guide says that he played on some
Santana records and I know the horn section has played with Santana. Do you
know
the All Music Guide? It's pretty handy for checking discographies,
biographies

Mind you, the AMG has 2 Chester Thompsons listed and it says the other one is
the drummer who recorded "Power House". I think this is an error though. I

there is actually only one C.T
